REVITAS EXPANDE: a social transformation project

REVITAS EXPANDE is a social transformation project funded by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan through the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy whose main axes are the social economy, social inclusion and rural repopulation. A project aimed at defining, testing and validating a participatory and replicable repopulation strategy linked to the generation of job opportunities and entrepreneurship through social economy formulas.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

  • To promote the development of the social economy in rural areas at risk of depopulation through the participatory definition, testing and validation of a methodological strategy based on the social and labor inclusion of groups in situations of social vulnerability and/or disability (young people and women) in the areas of generational replacement, agriculture and care.

PARTICIPANTS

The project is aimed at people with disabilities and people in a situation of social exclusion, as well as their social environment and the citizens of depopulating localities.

ACTIVITIES

REVITAS EXPANDE develops its intervention structured in four phases:

Research phase (1)

  • Initial approach to the areas of Tierra Estella and Nájera.
  • In-depth study of each area.
  • Alliances with socio-economic agents, Special Employment Centers, Social and Labor Insertion Companies and local entities.
  • Participated study with various agents.

Participated phase of definition of the method and adaptation to the collective (2)

  • Creation of an online information and intermediation center for the generational replacement of businesses in each area.
  • Generation of two training and entrepreneurship itineraries adapted to the target population.
  • Accompaniment in the opening of new lines of business or micro-operatives.

Knowledge transfer (3)

  • Generation of a statewide network for knowledge transfer and workshops.
  • Implementation guide and online training.
  • Support for the creation of new lines of business.
  • Dynamization and updating of the website and the information and intermediation center.

Transversal phase (4)

  • Communication. Online creation of a web site with information about the project.
  • Traceability, monitoring and evaluation.

The project is based on a triple alliance of entities:

  • Koine Aequalitas: Foundation specialized in social innovation that works from an interdisciplinary perspective to improve the quality of life, social development and equal opportunities for citizens, especially for people with disabilities, dependency and/or social exclusion.
